The Head of the Reward is responsible for leading the Reward team to ensure alignment with our overarching strategic objectives and our people strategy, enabling all of our colleagues to thrive.
Job Role Accountabilities
Provide strategic advice and support to leaders across the business, and Business Partners on reward and recognition
Ensure our reward frameworks are managed consistently, in accordance with best practice, and legal, regulatory and governance requirements
Lead our market benchmarking process across the Group to ensure we continue to offer competitive and relevant reward and benefits and are proactive in identifying and responding to emerging market trends
Oversee the administration of all of our reward programmes, including our annual pay review cycle, benefits enrolment window and our various incentive programmes, whilst providing marketing leading insight into best practice for all elements of the colleague reward lifecycle.
Ensure that all programmes comply with regulatory and legal requirements, including the timely and accurate submission of pay gap and other statutory reporting elements
Closely collaborate with other HR sub-functions such as Talent Acquisition and Talent Development to ensure our offering is aligned to our employee value proposition and supports career growth
Support in the preparation of papers for the Group Executive Committee and Remuneration Committee of the Board, ensuring all requirements and management information is provided within the timeframe, accurate and in the formats required
Provide leadership and coaching to the Reward team
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Reward Management role or Head of
Degree or equivalent is a plus
Skills and Knowledge
Strong customer focus and employee experience approach e.g. always looking for improvements, better ways of working
Takes a proactive, ‘can do’ approach to their work – demonstrates tenacity in resolving issues or finding ways around a blockage.
Excellent data analysis and communications skills
Able to influence, negotiate and manage demonstrating credibility and respect
Understand people resource requirements
Demonstrable knowledge of current industry best practice in Reward Performance
Experience
Will have built their reward and benefits knowledge / experience within a professional services environment or in an in-house role (plc environment).
Financial Services experience is preferred but not essential. A good broad insight into Reward is more important
Track record of compiling and presenting data and insights – in particular reward modelling, job architecture, and benefits brokering
Experience of managing, leading, empowering and motivating teams
