Purpose

As Proposition Director (Digital Wealth) you will lead the development and communication of all Digital Wealth products and services in this fast growth business division.

You will be a commercially focused customer champion (internally and externally) – setting strategy and designing, improving and managing customer propositions to serve identified customer needs and business objectives.

You will lead proposition development, alongside MD, and develop a team of customer proposition owners managing the life-cycle across all DW products and services. This will include managing proposition owners and performance across the new Digital Wealth platform to, in all cases, optimise business performance, and ensure all Retirement Services are working in unison for the benefit of customers; and to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

Ability required to incorporate consumer insight/data and management information to maintain and constantly improve existing propositions in line with the Consumer Duty. Further ability required to evaluate commercial viability of proposition development and improvements and manage them through to launch. You will ensure customers at all times understand the services and products they take from us.

You will also assist in the commercial assessment of distribution opportunities across each of the product and service lines. To this end a strong commercial understanding of each HUB FS product and distribution line is essential, across Retail Investment Platforms, Retirement Income products, Asset  Management Funds/Portfolios  and Financial & Retirement Planning services. 

Knowledge of progressive technology and efficient communication methods, e.g Generative AI, also essential as is a strong understanding of the changing customer servicing pressures of, and opportunities within, the wealth management industry.

A strong external profile as an industry customer voice preferable, with accompanying knowledge required of our commercial and competitive environment

Job Role Accountabilities

  • Accountabilities for this role are set out in a Statement of Responsibility under the Senior Managers Regime.  The role holder is required to notify the Director of Prudential Compliance of any changes to accountabilities, or delegated responsibilities that require the Statement of Responsibility to be updated.

Examples of Key Activities

  • Use insight to maintain a deep understanding of the needs and wants of consumer and business facing audiences and develop motivating headline propositions to demonstrate how HUB FS can assist these audiences.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Business Development Director and MD of Retirement Services to inform and influence the propositions pipeline for all key partners.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Business Development Director to develop commercial solutions and offers to prospective new partners, focusing on the end customer and core target markets.

  • Initiate, manage and evidence ongoing documented development of the proposition life cycle and overarching propositions strategy for HUB FS across all existing and new propositions to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Work with the Commercial Director on all aspects of the business case creation for each new proposition and gain buy in from the appropriate forums for approval, funding and change resource.
  • Own the proposition development pipeline including the application of prioritisation principles and alignment to the proposition delivery roadmap.
  • Provide proposition expertise and leadership on key strategic business projects and actively be the voice of the customer within these.
