About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Head of Capital Reporting and Analysis to deliver the actuarial elements of the Group’s SII (Solvency II) financial reporting requirements.

You will deputise for the Head of Capital Reporting day to day & at internal and external forums.

You will deliver the actuarial information required to support the Group’s internal and external reporting of SII, as well as the information required for planning & analysis of these metrics. In addition the role will support the development for future regulatory change and responses to requests from UK regulators and other third parties

Responsibilities

  • To deliver the actuarial information required to support the Group’s internal and external reporting of SII, as well as the information required for planning & analysis of these metrics

  • To support the development required for future regulatory change and responses to requests from UK regulators and other third parties

  • Development and maintenance of Group-wide methodology to be deployed in actuarial systems required to fulfil the team’s objectives

  • To support the CFO, Director of Actuarial and Head of Capital Reporting and Analysis to set the bases required for actuarial reporting and analysis purposes

  • To ensure timely testing of the tools developed by the Actuarial Systems team for actuarial reporting and analysis purposes

  • To support the development and improvement of the reporting processes used for actuarial reporting and analysis purposes

  • To support Group projects as required, providing actuarial expertise to define actuarial requirements on projects and other change programme initiatives

  • To maintain operation of a robust control framework for the production of results including having appropriate documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant requirements (including TASs).

·About You

  • Detailed knowledge of insurance products and markets and experience of working with UK reporting regulations

  • Demonstrable experience of leading an actuarial reporting function in an insurance company, ideally with experience of annuities and LTM

  • Proven track record in decision-making, with ability to assess materiality of issues and determine appropriate course of action

  • Strong communication skills with ability to convey complex concepts to senior executives
