I’m very people focused. That’s how I got involved in the mental health initiatives, training as a mental health first aider. Having had experiences with mental health myself I wanted to help people who may be struggling. I wanted to give back the help that I received.
The benefit I’ve gained has really been around my technical understanding, coming from the breadth and depth of stuff I was able to work on for the level that I started here. Why would you not want to try and understand as much as you can about the career that you’ve chosen?
